FOL (Fiberoptic Laryngoscopy) is an advanced ENT diagnostic procedure. A very thin, flexible fiberoptic cable with a camera is passed through the nose into the upper airway to view the vocal cords, larynx, and throat directly on a monitor in real time.

Keep your nose clean. Your doctor may administer a decongestant nasal spray shortly before the test to open up the nasal passages for smoother insertion.
